Etching Class (Beginning)

This beginner class will teach you how to etch on metal using ferric chloride as the etchant.  The resist will be accomplished with laser toner prints on PnP paper or free hand designs using magic markers.  You will have copper or brass 1 ¾ inch cuff metal to choose from to make a bracelet.  You will file and bend the finished etch piece to fit your wrist.  You will also use grinding and polishing equipment and may add patina to your creations.  This is a fun class, relax enjoy your classmates and learning a new technique that may be applied to many projects.
